For You Mom

Dear Mom, I love you a lot,
Can't thank you enough for what you've taught.
You've been by my side in trying times,
I treasure the tears and everlasting smiles.

Your ways have guided me a lot in life,
Now that I'm far I deeply realize,
What you told me was so very true,
Though it hadn't made sense as I grew!

I miss all the times we spent together,
Sharing our thoughts and life's endeavours.
It feels only like yesterday that I was there
And you were right beside me consoling my fears.

Thinking of you

Every single day I miss you,

You go out to work & I bid adieu,

Kiss you goodbye and I come back to bed,

It’s still warm where you slept.

I snuggle into the covers and think about you,

Thanking God for you and our love too.

My face lights up when you call,

Reminds me of times in the long haul.

The clock silently ticks and the day goes by,

You are on my mind and I sigh..

I miss you so even though it’s a few hours,

Can’t wait till you are home and time is ours!

With you beside me I feel so good,

Anything you wanted me to I would.

I smile within and am content,

For sweet memories and moments spent.

A very warm welcome

Hi there, welcome to 'Reflections of the Heart'

I am here to take your breath away with a fabulous collection of heart-warming poems written for special people in my life. I recently fulfilled a long last dream by publishing my first book of poetry titled "Reflections of the Heart"

This blog will showcase some of my finest poems and will also provide a platform to others in sharing their work.

I am working out ways to benefit all who participate here and at the same time make my book visible and reach a large audience.
